Who we are

SchoolBreak.xyz is operated by an individual at 2532 Santa Clara Ave #325, Alameda, CA 94501. We provide a free summer camp planning tool for California families.

What we collect

To provide our camp planning service, we collect:

  • Your email address (for account verification and communication)
  • Your location or address (to show you nearby camps)
  • Your children's names and ages or dates of birth (to filter camps by eligibility)
  • Your name (for your account profile)

What we don't collect

We never collect payment information, health records, school records, or social security numbers. We're a planning tool, not a booking platform—we don't process any financial transactions.

How we use your information

Your information is used solely to provide the camp planning service—filtering camps by your location and your children's ages, building your summer calendar, and sending account-related emails. That's it.

Analytics

We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool that doesn't use cookies or track individuals. We see aggregate usage data like page views and general geographic regions, but not personal information. We use this to understand how people use SchoolBreak so we can make it better.

Data sharing

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties. Period.

Data retention

Your data is kept as long as you have an account with SchoolBreak. You can delete your account at any time through your account settings, which removes all your personal data from our systems.

Your rights (California residents)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to know what personal information we have about you, request deletion of that information, and opt out of the sale of your personal information. Since we don't sell personal information, there's nothing to opt out of—but you can always contact us to request access to or deletion of your data.

Children's privacy

While our service involves planning activities for children, children do not use SchoolBreak directly. Parents and guardians provide information about their children on their behalf. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13.
