What SchoolBreak is

SchoolBreak is a free informational tool for planning summer camps. We aggregate publicly available camp information from city recreation departments, park districts, and other sources to help parents compare options and visualize their summer schedules.

What we're not

We are not a booking platform, travel agent, or camp operator. We don't process registrations, payments, or refunds. When you decide to register for a camp, you'll do so directly on the camp's website—your relationship is with them, not with us.

Information accuracy

Camp information displayed on SchoolBreak is gathered from public sources and may not always be current. Listings marked "unverified" have not been confirmed by the camp.

Always verify dates, prices, availability, and policies directly with camps before registering.

No warranties

The service is provided "as is." We do our best to keep information accurate and the service running smoothly, but we make no guarantees about completeness, accuracy, reliability, or availability. Use the information as a starting point for your research, not as the final word.

Your responsibilities

When using SchoolBreak, please provide accurate information about your family. Don't use the service for any unlawful purpose. Don't attempt to scrape our data or overload our systems. Don't use the service for commercial purposes without permission. In general, don't be a jerk.

Account termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service, as determined in our sole discretion. You can also delete your own account at any time through your account settings.

Limitation of liability

SchoolBreak is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service or reliance on camp information displayed. Your relationship with camps—including any disputes about registration, payment, refunds, or camp operations—is between you and the camp.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll note the date of the last update at the top of this page. Continued use of SchoolBreak after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
